He also released an EP called "The Half-Baked Serenade," which, with 10 songs, in the old days would have been considered a full-length album.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13574584923286363687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34202578.post-58362312920344047092009-04-08T06:18:00.000-05:002009-04-08T06:18:00.000-05:00Yo yo, good post about Self. It's a reversed solo in 7/8 (or is it 7/4?) time during "Lucid Anne".

Also Self released half a dozen free albums of b-sides, most notably "Porno Mint and Grime" and "Feels Like Breakin Shit" which are well worth the investment of time.

Lastly, the worst throes of music industry politics have kept some of Self's best work from ever being released commercially; the Dreamworks big radio-ready record "Ornament and Crime" is remarkable and has a gaggle of hits on it. self also recorded a solo acoustic show and edited it on DVD which is a mind blowing product, thwarted by sync rights held by AC/DC. You might still find a clip of Mahaffey doing "Back In Black" on youtube or wherever pirated video is found in your neighborhood.Tomhttp://www.hardfest.comnoreply@blogger.com
